WOLFERLOW.

WOLFERLOW is a parish, 5 miles north from Bromyard, and 18 north-north-east from Hereford, in Broxash hundred, Bromyard union and county court district, Frome deanery, and Hereford archdeaconry and bishopric. The river Frome rises in this parish. The church of St. Andrew is a small old building in the Norman style, with tower, and consists of nave, chancel, and font. The register dates from 1629. The living is a vicarage, value £220 yearly, with residence and 2 acres of glebe land, in the gift of John Wright, Esq.; the Rev. J. H. C. Wright, M.A., of St. John's College, Cambridge, is the incumbent. The population in 1861 was 112; the acreage is 1,525. The soil is clayey. Edmund Higginson, Esq., is the principal landowner. The chief crops are wheat, beans, and peas. There are charities of 13s. yearly value
