"BROOKLAND, a parish in the hundred of Aloesbridge, lathe of Shepway, in the county of Kent, 4 miles to the W. of Romney. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Canterbury, worth £93, in the patronage of the dean and chapter. The church is in the early English style, and is dedicated to St. Augustine. There are some charities of small value."
