"STONE-NEXT-FAVERSHAM, a parish in the hundred of Faversham, lathe of Scray, county Kent, 2 miles N.W. of Faversham, its post town. The village is situated near Juddehill Camp, on Watling Street. The inhabitants are wholly agricultural. The living is a sinecure rectory in the diocese of Canterbury, value £220. The church, which is in ruins, was partly built of Roman bricks."
