"WICKHAMBREUX, a parish in the hundred of Downhamford, lathe of St. Augustine, county Kent, 5 miles N.E. of Canterbury, on the river Stour. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury, value £790. The church, dedicated to St. Andrew, contains memorials of the Beake and Larkin families. There is a parochial school partially endowed by Rev. J. Smith in 1756. The charities produce about £8 per annum."
