Whilst every effort has been made to record exact details of record office and library holdings you are recommended to check with them before visiting to ensure that they do hold the records and years you wish to examine. Similarly check with transcript publishers to ensure they cover the records and years you require before making a purchase.

The burial registers have been put on computer and, at present, are only available to cemetery staff. The MIs are being photographed and put on computer as well. Around 6000 have been photographed so far. For information: cemetery[at]preston.gov[dot]uk

Recently they have had many requests for this information and so arranged for all of our burial registers to be microfilmed and put on display at the record office Bow Lane, Preston.
