Marefield was a village and a township in Tilton parish. It is 12 miles east of Leicester city and 1 mile from Tilton. The parish covers 520 acres.

The land around the village has been mostly pasture for centuries. If you are planning a visit:

  • By automobile, take the B6047 arterial south out of Melton Mowbray. Turn left (east) just before Lowesby village and drive out to Marefield village.
