"THORPE-SATCHVILLE, a chapelry in Twyford parish, Leicester; 5 miles S by W of Melton-Mowbray r. station. Post town, Melton-Mowbray. Acres, 4,278. Real property, £2,116. Pop., 171. Houses, 38. The property is much subdivided. The living is annexed to Hungerton."

Thorpe Satchville is a chapelry, a township and a parish which lie about 15 miles north-east of Leicester city and 5 miles south of Melton Mobray. The parish covers 1,330 acres, most of which was pasture for sheep and cattle.
