Church of England Records.

• Halton, St Oswald, St Cuthbert and King Alfwald: Records of baptisms 1654-1983, marriages 1698-1972 and burials 1659-1974 are available at Northumberland Archives Service. Bishops' Transcripts for the period 1769-1875 are deposited at Durham University Library Archives and Special Collections, Palace Green, Durham City. The International Genealogical Index (I.G.I.) includes baptisms 1654-1812 and marriages 1654-1769 for this parish, and Boyd's Marriage Index includes marriages 1654-1655 and 1698-1769.
