• Newbiggin by the Sea, St Bartholomew: Records of baptisms 1662-1995, marriages 1665-1981 and burials 1665-1966 are available at Northumberland Archives Service. Bishops' Transcripts for the period 1760-1878 are deposited at Durham University Library Archives and Special Collections, Palace Green, Durham City. The International Genealogical Index (I.G.I.) includes baptisms 1662-1812 and marriages 1662-1780 for this parish, and Boyd's Marriage Index includes marriages 1665-1780 and banns 1755.
