ACLE is a village, 11 miles east of Norwich, and 8 miles west by north of Yarmouth. The parish comprises an area of 3165 acres, and the Population in 1841 was 864. Post Office, at Sarah Browne's. Norwich, London, &c. letters, delivered at 8.30 a.m. and despatched at 4.40 p.m. Yarmouth, &c. letters, delivered at 4.30 p.m. and despatched at 9 a.m.
