Dates of Census

  • 1811 - Only statistics available ie. no names.
  • 1821 - Heads of Households and trades.
  • 1831 - Some books indicate its existance. The Norfolk Record Office (NRO) references [Ref DUN(C)87] lead one to the LONG family (of Dunston) estate records, but all that exists is a numerical count of some sections of the population of Newton Flotman where they also owned land.
  • 1841 - National census transcription.

Notes

It appeared on the original as if the occupation in the entry for Charles Brighten was rubbed out. This would then give Mr. Brows & Mr. Lincoln in Trade, Revd. Long & Lady Boyce as Independent and the rest in Agriculture (even though the "Do" for ditto was missing).
