Notes
- In other documents the following alternative spellings have been seen which appear to refer to the same people/places:-
Collings/Collins, Rainberd/Rainbird. - The "Names" given for 1767-8 (No heading on column) appear to be "Occupiers"? when normally Proprietors are found as well on similar documents for other parishes.
- Rate was at 4s/£1 (of Valuation) for all the above years except for 1767 when it was 3s/£1.
- The Column labelled "Valuation" was not on the original and has been calculated by multiplying the "Yearly Assessment" by a factor of 20 divided by 3 or 4 as appropriate to get Shillings.
- JPs (Justices of the Peace) who passed these accounts are:-
"GB" = "George Beevor", "WC" = "William Cockell", "CD" = "Charles Dunham", "JFF" = "J F Franklin", "WG" = "William Grigson", "HH" = "Hugh Hare", "TBJ" = "Thomas Beevor Junior", "WL" = "William Lobb", "WP" = "William Pawlett", "WW" = "William Woodley", "JW" = "John Wright" - Assessors [AS] or Collectors [CO] (1826 form said they must live within parish) :- "FG" = "Francis Gates", "JG" = "James Gooch", "JW" = "(Mark of) John Ward", "WP" = "William Porter"
- Manning Gooch is a "Justice of the Peace".
- The Incumbent of Eccles from 10th Sept 1779 until April 1799 was the Revd William Green according to the "List of Norfolk Benefices" by "Dawson Turner" published in 1847. He was succeeded by Reverend George Wilson.
