PENSTHORPE parish, 2 miles E. of Fakenham, has only 12 inhabitants, and 753 acres of land in one farm, belonging to the trustees of the late Rev. R. Hamond, and occupied by Mr. Edward Tolver Gwyn.

The Church was desecrated many years ago, and its remains now form a cattle shed. The rectory, valued in the King's Book at £10, and now at £170, is in the gift of certain trustees, and in the incumbency of the Rev. Henry Dugmore, of Beachamwell.
