These newspaper cuttings have been found by the Norfolk transcribers for FreeREG. They are undated apart from handwritten dates, and none of the newspapers is named.

They are in a transcription of a few of the entries from the West Bradenham registers of baptisms, marriages and burials. The reference given in the Family History Library Catalogue is Parish register extracts, 1538-1899. Church of England. Parish Church of West Bradenham. On the 9th inst., at West Bradenham, MAXIMILIAN RICHARD WESTERN, Esq., youngest son of the late Edward Western, Esq., of Harley-street, London, to ELIZABETH CECILIA, second daughter of WILLIAM HAGGARD, Esq., of Bradenham Hall, Norfolk.

DEATHS.
On the 9th Dec., at Bradenham Hall, Norfolk, ELLA, the beloved wife of WILLIAM HAGGARD, and elder daughter of the late Bazett Doveton, Bombay Civil Service, aged 70. Friends will kindly accept this announcement.

The death is announced, at the age of 70 years, on the 9th inst., of Ella, wife of Mr. William Haggard, J.P., D.L., of Bradenham-hall, Norfolk, and daughter of Mr. Bazett Doneton [sic], late of the Bombay Civil Service, and mother of Mr. Rider Haggard, the well-known writer. Mrs. Haggard was the authoress of several poetical works, of which the best known are "Myra," a poem descriptive of the first Afghan war, and "Life and its Author," an essay in verse directed against the march of materialism. Mrs. Haggard was also a gifted musician.

HAGGARD. - On the 21st inst., at Bradenham-hall, Thetford, William Meybohm Rider Haggard, J.P., for many years Senior Chairman of the Adjourned Norfolk Quarter Sessions at Swaffham and King's Lynn, aged 76.

WILLIAM MEYBOHM RIDER HAGGARD decd. - Pursuant to the Statute 22nd and 23d Vic. cap. 35 - The CREDITORS and others who have claims against the estate of WILLIAM MEYBOHM RIDER HAGGARD late of Bradenham Hall in the County of Norfolk J.P. D.L. Barrister at law (who died on the 21st day of April 1893 and whose Will has been duly proved by Henry Rider Haggard and Edward Arthur Haggard two of the Executors therein named) are, on or before the 19th day of August next to send particulars of their debts or claims to us, the undersigned, after which day the Executors will proceed to distribute the assets of the said deceased having regard only to the claims of which they shall then have had notice.

Consul for Madagascar, fourth son of William Haggard, Esq., of Bradenham Hall, Norfolk, to AGNES MARION, eldest daughter of the late FAIRLESS BARBER, Esq., of Rastrick, Yorkshire.

HAGGARD. - On the 13th May, at Parkstone, Dorset, BAZETT MICHAEL HAGGARD, Barrister-at-law, late H.B.M.'s Land Commissioner to Samoa, aged 51.

OBITUARY.
Mr. BAZETT MICHAEL HAGGARD died on the 13th inst. at Parkstone, Dorset, aged 51. The second son of the late Mr. W.M.R. Haggard, of Bradenham-hall, Norfolk, he was the brother of Mr. Rider Haggard, Mr. W.H.D. Haggard, and Lieutenant-Colonel A.C.P. Haggard, D.S.O. He was educated at Winchester and at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, where he took his degree in 1869. Two years later he was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn and went [sic] the Norfolk and afterwards the South-Eastern Circuit. In 1885 he was appointed a revising barrister. From July, 1890, to March, 1895, he was British member of the Samoan Land Commission under the Samoan Treaty of June 14, 1889. Mr Haggard married in 1872 Julia, eldest daughter of Mr. George Barker, of Shipdham-hall, Norfolk.

LOFTHOUSE : HAGGARD. - On the 28th Aug., at St. Saviour's, Walton-street, Chelsea, by the Revd. Henry Dyke Acland, M.A., Rector of Luccombe, Devon, cousin of the bride, assisted by the Revd. Henry Wace, D.D., Chaplain to the Inns of Courts R.V., S.H.S. LOFTHOUSE, of Lincoln's-inn, Barrister-at-law, to JULIA DIANA, widow of the late BAZETT MICHAEL HAGGARD, and elder daughter of the late George Barker, of Shipdham, Norfolk.
