Census: 1841
Rushford was a parish part of which was in Norfolk and the rest in Suffolk. The National Archives (was PRO) references start with HO/107/775 (for full details see later).
The Norfolk portion (in Guiltcross Hundred) contains the Hamlets of Great and Little Snarehill (which is an extra parochial estate) and Shadwell.
The Suffolk portion (situated in Blackbourn Hundred) is the Rushford Lodge Estate (c.1000 acres).

Bart/Burt, Darsley/Daisley, Dickinson/Dickerson/Dickerton, Rivitt/Rivet, Scaff/Scarf/Scarfe, White__?/Whiterod/Whiteman? - The following are noted from Quidenham Parish Registers:-
- Entry 79. 3/March/1836 - Maria dau. of George and Sophia Collings of Rushford (Blacksmith) was baptised.
- Shadwell Court [Lodge/Hall] was rebuilt between 1840-42 for Sir John Jacob Buxton, 2nd Bart. using architect Edward Blore.
- Little Snarehill covers 380 acres and is where Snarehill House is situated. Great Snarehill is 1,666 acres and mostly heath.
- In the Bishops Transcripts (Archdeaconry of Norfolk) for 1752-3 under Rushford is the following :-
