Tuttington is one of the few places in the county for which a census before 1841 containing names survives.

    • James Martins had "Blacksmith"
    • Thomas Starling had "Weaver and Manufacturer"
    • Thomas Dyke had "Weaver of Worstead"
  • Of the abbreviations given for christian names the following have been checked in the parish register -
    • Bnd = Bernard , Btg = Brettingham
