Overseers: Bastardy Orders: 1804-12

Bastardy Orders were issued when fathers did not pay maintainance for their illegimate children. This was done so that these children did not become chargeable on the poor rates.


These are items from a Norfolk Record Office document [with the reference PD 401/41 and microform MF943/7 (starting at frame 240)] containing the Bastardy Orders for 1804-12. They can be found on printed or hand written forms which usually follow a standard layout. Here just the relevant facts have been extracted from each order. Note that there are no other orders available for this parish.
