Population: 1821 and 1831

These 1821 and 1831 Norfolk Record Office documents [with the reference PD 127/86 and MF/X/280/19] are on consecutive pages on the Microform. It is a handwritten copy of the information which was sent to the Government. One or two lines are differently worded and some are missing from the 1831 copy presumably because the answers were zero eg. Unihabited houses.

1831 Notes

  • The numbering ie. 1 to 13 in the 1831 figures differs slightly from the original form.
  • Question 13. is Male servants upwards of 20 years of age.
Missing are those male servants under 20 years and the numbers of Female servants probably because there were none.
  • Henry Overman was a Farmer in White's 1845 Trade Directory.
