It was founded before 1628.
There appears to be some confusion about the dedication of the Church. Directories (White's and Kelly's) up to 1896 refer to it as St Helen's. The Kelly's directory of 1912 says "The church of All Saints or St Helen". By 1933 Kelly's has All Saints. Maps (OS) as late as 1952 have St Helen's.
