"ASHLEY, a parish in the hundred of Corby, in the county of Northampton, 5 miles to the N. E. of Market Harborough, its post town. It lies on the borders of Rutlandshire, on the south bank of the river Welland. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough, value £320, in the patronage of the Rev. R. T.
