"BULWICK, a parish in the hundred of Corby, in the county of Northampton, 6 miles to the N.W. of Oundle. Wansford is its post town. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough, of the value of £336, in the patronage of the Rev. T. Tryon. The church, which is partly in the decorated and partly in the perpendicular style, with a tower and spire of fine proportions and remarkable elegance, is dedicated to St. Nicholas. The charitable bequests for the poor amount to £35 per annum. Bulwick Hall is the principal mansion."
