"EVENLY, a parish in the hundred of King's Sutton, county Northampton, 1 mile S. of Brackley, its post town. It is situated near the river Ouse. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Peterborough, value £182, in the patronage of Magdalen College, Oxford. The church, dedicated to St. George, is an ancient structure in the form of a cross, and partly covered with ivy. There is a school for both sexes. The Hon.
