"HARPOLE, a parish in the hundred of Nobottle Grove, county Northampton, 4 miles W. of Northampton. The village is small, but well built. The tithes were commuted for land under an Enclosure Act in 1778. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough, value £530. The church is ancient.
