"MORCOTT, a parish in the hundred of WRANDIKE, county of RUTLAND, 4 miles (E. by N.) from Uppingham, containing 443 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £ 10. 19. 7. The Rev. E.Thorold was patron in 1825.
