"STRETTON, a parish in the hundred of ALSTOE, county of RUTLAND, 8 miles (N. E. by E.) from Oakham, containing 195 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £7.17 and in the patronage of Sir G. Heathcote, Bart.
