ABDON: Geographical and Historical information from the year 1831.
" ABDON, a parish in the hundred of MUNSLOW, county of SALOP, 9 miles (N. E. by N.) from Ludlow, containing 157 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £3. 6. 8., endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Earl of Pembroke. The church is dedicated to St. Margaret."
