" ASHFORD BOWDLER, a parish in the hundred of MUNSLOW, county of SALOP, 2 miles (S. by E.) from Ludlow, containing 89 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of Hereford, endowed with £200 private benefaction) £200 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of R. H. Green, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew."
