" BRACE MEOLE, a parish within the liberty of SHREWSBURY, county of SALOP, 1 mile (S.) from Shrewsbury, containing 1348 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £ 5, and in the patronage of Mrs. Bather. The church is dedicated to All Saints. The Shrewsbury house of industry, a noble and spacious building, stands in this parish."
