"CHETTON, a parish in the Chelmarsh division of the hundred of Stottesdon, a rectory remaining in charge, and consolidated with Deuxhill, in the diocese of Hereford, the deanery of Stottesdon, and archdeaconry of Salop. 4½ miles south-west of Bridgnorth. 108 houses, 573 inhabitants."
