HIGHLEY: Geographical and Historical information from the year 1831.

"HIGHLEY, a parish in the hundred of STOTTESDEN, county of SALOP, 7 miles (S. by E.) from Bridgenorth, containing 424 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £5. 19. 2. J. Fleming, L.L.D., was patron in 1790. The church is dedicated to St. Mary."
