"STANTON LACY, a parish in the hundred of MUNSLOW, county of SALOP, 3 miles (N.N.W.) from Ludlow, containing 1267 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £16, and in the patronage of the Earl of Craven. The church is dedicated to St. Peter."
