"WENTNOR, a parish in the Bishopscastle division of the hundred of Purslow, a rectory, is the diocese of Hereford, the deanery of Clun, and archdeaconry of Salop. 97 houses, 583 inhabitants. 5 miles north- east of Bishopscastle."

" ADSTONE (or ADSTON), a township in the parish of Wentnor, and in the Bishopscastle division of the hundred of Purslow. 5½ miles north-east of Bishopscastle.
