There was a church here in the past; nothing remains today. It was a vicarage of Butley Priory.
It was founded before 1500. It fell into disrepair after the dissolution of the monasteries, and was demolished around 1550.
For ecclesiastical purposes (1937 directory says) it is annexed to Orford.
