The church did have a graveyard - 2 graves found in 2017 when Wetherspoon's pub "William Adams" was being built on the site.

It was founded before 1844 and possibly as early as 1807? Closed in 1948. Site has been redeveloped - see Cemeteries.

In 1932 the United Methodists joined with the Wesleyan Methodists and the Primitive Methodists to form the Methodist Church of Great Britain.
