"WINSTON, a parish in the hundred of Thredling, county Suffolk, 1 mile S.E. of Debenham. There is a considerable tract of common. The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of Norwich, value £170, in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Ely. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew."
