"AISHOLT, (or Asholt), a parish in the hundred of Cannington, in the county of Somerset, 7 miles to the S.W. of Bridgwater. It includes the hamlet of Lower Aisholt. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £280, in the patronage of the Rev. J. West, the incumbent. The church is dedicated to All Saints."
