"CHILTHORNE-DOMER, a parish in the hundred of Stone, in the county of Somerset, 3 miles N. of the Yeovil station, on the London and South-Western railway. It is situated on the old coach road from Ilchester to Yeovillage The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £235, in the patronage of the Rev. J. Baily. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, is an ancient stone edifice in the decorated style, with monuments, and a register commencing in 1678. Here is a school for both sexes. The lord of the manor is H.
