"UPTON NOBLE, a parish in the hundred of Bruton, county Somerset, 3 miles N.E. of Bruton, its post town, and 7 from Frome. The living is a perpetual curacy annexed to the rectory of Batcombe, in the diocese of Bath and Wells. There is a chapel for Wesleyans. The parochial charities produce about £8 per annum."
