WEST CLANDON

"WEST CLANDON, a parish in the county of Surrey, as above, 1 mile to the W. of East Clandon.

The living is a rectory in the archdeaconry of Surrey, and diocese of Winchester, value £136, in the patronage of the Earl of Onslow. The charities produce £8 per annum. The tithes were commuted in 1839. In the vicinity is Clandon Park, a fine mansion, with a hall 40 feet square, and two mantlepieces carved by Rysbrach.
