GAYTON (ST JOHN THE BAPTIST), a parish, in the N. division of the hundred of Pirehill, union, and S. division of the county, of Stafford, 6 miles (N. E.) 
from Stafford; containing 291 inhabitants.

The living is a perpetual curacy; net income, £46; patron, Mrs. Mould; impropriator, John Fitzgerald, Esq.
