The village, which, is of small extent, is situated near the river Avon, under Bredon-Hill. The inhabitants are chiefly engaged in agriculture. The tithes were commuted for land and a money payment under an Enclosure Act in 1814. The living is a curacy annexed to the rectory* [the asterisk denotes that there is a parsonage and glebe belonging to the living] of Bredon, in the diocese of Worcester. The church is an ancient structure with a square tower. The parochial charities produce about £17 per annum.
