"HANLEY WILLIAM, (or Upper Hanley), a parish in the upper division of the hundred of Doddingtree, county Worcester, 7 miles S.E. of Tenbury, its post town, and 2 S. E. of Eastham. It is a very small village, situated near the river Teme. The tithes have been commuted for a rent-charge of £155. The living is a rectory united with that of Eastham, in the diocese of Hereford. The church is dedicated to All Saints.
