St George, Worcester, Simple Catholic

It was founded at or near this place in 1590 when the Jesuit mission first arrived in Worcester. The present church was built in 1829.

The small graveyard was closed in 1852.

Edward Elgar was the organist here from 1855 as was his father before him.
