Is a parish town, in Wilton-Beacon division of Harthill, Liberty of St. Peter; 4 miles from Pocklington, 13 from York, 14 from Malton. Population, including Belthorpe 570. The Church, a peculiar of the Lay Manor of Wilton, is a perpetual curacy, dedicated to St. Michael, in the deanery of Harthill.
