BURYTHORPE:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1835.

"BURYTHORPE, a parish in the wapentake of BUCKROSE, East riding of the county of YORK, 4 miles S. from New Malton, containing 216 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of the East riding, and diocese of York, rated in the king's books at £6.16.3., and iathe patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. In 1768, Francis Consith died here, at the age of one hundred and fifty."
