A parish town in the wapentake of Howdenshire; 3½ miles from Howden, 10 from South Cave, 14 from Market Weighton, 23½ from York. Population 375. The Church, a peculiar, is a vicarage, dedicated to St. Michael, in the deanery of Harthill.
