| Underneath heer lieth entombed The Body of that Learned and not lesse Pious Gentleman WALTER STRICKLAND Esquire borne at Boynton in ye year of our Lord, MDLxxxxviii and Deceased ye 1st Novembr in the year MDCLxxi He Was married to ANNA, sole Daughter and heiress unto Sr. CHARLES MORGAN, that Famous Coronett Governor of Berg-op-Zome in Braband but had no issue by her, yet such was her love to his worth; that she freely gave two thousand pounds for his purchasing of the Lordship of Flamborough & since his Death, hath at her proper cost & Charges erected this Monument to His endeared Memory. |  |
