The place:

In the parish of Foxholes, wapentake of Dickering; 5 miles from Sledmere, 9 from Driffield, 10 from Bridlington, 12 from Scarborough. Population 93. The Church is a perpetual curacy under Foxholes, in the deanery of Dickering.
