Geographical and Historical information from the year 1835.

"HOLME ON THE WOLDS, a parish in the Bainton- Beacon division of the wapentake of HARTHILL, East riding of the county of YORK, 6 miles N.W. from Beverley, containing 138 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage with that of St. Mary, Beverley, ia the archdeaconry of the East riding, and diocese of York, rated in the king's books at £8. 19. 7., endowed with £1000 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant. The church is dedicated to St. Peter."
