The place:

A parish town in Wilton-Beacon division of Harthill; 2 miles from Pocklington, 8 from Market Weighton, 15 from York. Population 43. The Church, a peculiar of the Dean of York, is a vicarage, dedicated to St. Helen, in the deanery of Harthill.
